트레버 넌은 영국출신의 연극, 뮤지컬 연출자, 영화감독으로 활동하고 있다. 로얄 세익스피어 컴퍼니와 로얄 내셔널 씨어터의 연출로 활동하였으며, 2002년에 기사 작위를 받았다. 그는 <Cats>, <Nicholas Nickleby>, <Les Miserable> 등으로 토니상을 수상하였다.
1962년 ABC Director’s Scholarship을 따고, Coventry의 Belgrade Theatre에서 Resident Director로 일하면서 <The Caucasian Chalk Circle>, <Peer Gynt> 그리고 뮤지컬 <Around the World in Eighty Days>를 제작하였다.
1964년 Royal Shakespeare Company에 들어가 1965년 조연출로, 1968년에 최연소 예술감독이 된다. 1986년까지RSC를 운영하였다.
RSC에서 제작되었던 작품은 <The revenger’sTragedy>, <The Relapse>, <The Alchemist>, <Henry V>, <The Taming of theShrew>, <King Lear>, <Much Ado About Nothing>, <the Winter’s Tale>, <Antonyand Cleopatra>, <Coriolanus>, <Julius Caesar>, <Titus Andronicus>, <Romeo and Juliet>, <The Comedy ofErrors>, <As You Like It>, <All’s Well That Ends Well>, <Once in a Life-time>, <Three Sisters>, <Henry VIII>, <Hamlet>, <Macbeth Juno and the Paycock>, <Othello>, <The Blue Anger and Measure for Measure>이다.
동료 John Caird와 함께 <Nicholas Nickleby, 토니상수상>, <Peter Pan>, <Les Miserables, 8개의 토니상 수상>을 제작하였다.
1982년 런던에 RSC를 새로이 오픈하고 셰익스피어의<Henry IV, Parts I and II>를 제작하였으며, 1986년 Stratford upon Avon에서 Swan Theatre를 오픈하고 <The Fair Maid of the West>를 제작하였다.
<Cats, 토니상수상>, <Starlight Express>, <Aspects of Love>, <Sunset Boulevard>, <The Woman in White>, <Chess>, <The Baker’s Wife>, <Timonof Athens>, <Heartbreak House>, <The Lady From The Sea>, <Skelling>, <Hamlet>, <Richard
II>, <AcornAntiques>, <Marry Poppins> 등도 제작하였다.
또, Glyndebourne에서 <Idomeneo>, <Porgy and Bess>, <CosiFan Tutte>, <Peter Grimes> 제작하였으며, Royal Opera House 에서 <Porgy and Bess-revival>, <Kabanova, Sophie’s Choice> 제작하였다.
1997~2003년까지 National Theatre의 연출로 재직하였으며, 그 때 제작한 작품은 <Arcadia, <Enemy of the People, <Mutabilitie>, <Not About Nightingales>, <Betrayal>, <Oklahoma!>, <Troilus and Cressida>, <The Merchant of Venice>, <Summerfolk>, <Albert Speer>, <The Coast of Utopia>, <The Cherry Orchard>, <My Fair Lady>, <The Relapse>, <South Pacific>, <A Streetcar Named Desire>, <Anything Goes>, <Love’s Labour’sLost> 제작했다.
트레버 넌은 현존하는 최고의 연출가이며, 2008년 4월 웨스트엔드에 올릴 <Gone With the Wind>의 각색과 연출을 맡았다.
