2003년 토니상 연극부문 작품상을 수상한 Take Me Out로 첫 뮤지컬 연출했고 연극과 뮤지컬을 넘나들며 뛰어난 실력을 보여준 연출가이다. 외부비평가상, 드라마데스크상, Lucille Lortel상, Helen Hayes상, Clarence Derwent상, Obie상(오프 브로드웨이상), Joe A상, Callaway상을 수상했다. 그는 Naked Angels와 Roundabout 회원이기도 하다.
